I use the Jahia Digital Experience Platform every day. it is our main content management system. We use it for web creation and file storage. Almost all of my work is done through the Jahia Digital Experience Platform on a daily basis. All of our partner websites and their content are created and stored on the Jahia Digital Experience Platform.
  • The amount of different ways there are to solve a single problem.
  • Very user friendly for beginner developers with training.
  • The amount of training resources found for the Jahia Digital Experience Platform are extensive and helpful.
  • Full-page versioning
  • More capability with versioning
  • Updated languages for content names
Based on my experience, some specific scenarios the Jahia Digital Experience Platform is suited well for are the following: Generic web content management and web page creation with the ability to always edit and promote changes in real-time when needed. It's also good for storing or saving images/PDFs and other files needed to satisfy customer needs.

We have used Jahia in the company for more than 3 years and is a good experience for all the team, We found it intuitive, easy to use for global teams, and easy to customize and create new components. Jahia helped us to save time creating new pages in our site, and also guarantees that the usage of components pre-built ensures the brand consistency between the full website, even if is not a designer who creates a page, everything is going to look nice and onbranded.
  • Re usable components
  • Speed up the load times
  • Lots of marketing capabilities
  • Not enough documentations and code examples for developers
  • Sometimes slow performance
  • Versioning of contents
Well suited: Intuitive, Administrate multiple websites, multilingual and multiregional websites, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Less appropriate: fast creation of new components

Jahia Digital Experience Platform is used internally to provide the employee portal of the company (17000 users, almost most of them do not use it at all - it is there for internal services access, internal documentation, and service federation). Jahia Digital Experience Platform is being used as a portal manager and as a CMS and not for its personalization and AB testing features, which we have no use of.
  • User onboarding and interface clarity
  • Publication workflows
  • Service integration
  • Thorough documentation
  • The Jahia Digital Experience Platform support is top notch and responsive
  • Content versioning is totally missing :(
  • Initial ramp up can be tedious, that's a vast platform
  • Bugs in the image management screen
Jahia Digital Experience Platform thrives as a portal platform for us, it is a perfect fit. We have a complex organization and a granular permission approach was a must-have for us. The pages are snappy, and bug-free and the content authoring experience is extremely intuitive, even with 30 users creating content at the same time (which is our ballpark). Jahia Digital Experience Platform was also considered for a retail use case (a side platform that has nothing to do with our user portal) and Jahia Digital Experience Platform wouldn't have been of any use there - it doesn't have commerce integrations.

In our organization, Jahia Digital Experience Platform serves as our primary tool for content management and digital experience. It provides a streamlined interface for contributors to effectively create, manage, and update our web pages. It also powers all our marketing campaigns, which is very important to us. 40 users use Jahia on a day to day basis here.
  • Content management
  • intuitive and user-friendly interface
  • Marketing campaign management
  • content version control
  • dev integration for front end
organizations needing a comprehensive tool for web content management and digital marketing. We needed a single tool to unify and improve our digital experiences. Jahia is used for public facing websites and portals and is appreciated for its versatility. Jahia is also used successfully as a site factory in other areas of our organization, but I am not personally involved with those.

I am mainly an administrator of the websites. But also managing the custom development made on Jahia Digital Experience Platform. I help on monitoring the platform, performing the administration tasks such as deploying on Jahia Digital Experience Platform our modules. We had multiple business requests that had been addressed with Jahia Digital Experience Platform technical experts since the beginning of the project. Some customer's need that seems difficult at the beginning but we found the proper solution at the end.
  • Jahia Cloud
  • Content Management
  • Personalization
  • Stability
  • Versioning of contents
  • Set a delayed publication for the content.
Well suited : Administrate multiple websites, configuring some custom developments, accessing to the database of the contents, E-commerce and digital marketing, multilingual and multiregional websites, collaboration and workflow management, Less appropriate: managing a huge amount of contents

Jahia is the CMS used in my company, mainly for our corporate sites. It enables non-IT users to update site content in complete autonomy and very quickly, without the need for IT staff intervention. Development enables the creation of templates and components to meet business needs. Connectors with other applications, such as a DAM, can provide a complete environment.
  • Content publishing
  • Good site response times
  • Robust platform
  • It lacks the ability to manage multiple versions of a page or content in general.
  • The back office interface sometimes encounters bugs or display problems.
  • It's difficult to keep pre-production sites up to date in terms of content compared to production, because the time required to import/export sites is very long once the site is rich in content.
Jahia is a great CMS that allows digital marketing contributors to manage their site content quickly and easily. It doesn't replace business applications, but it can provide content that can be managed by the CMS and displayed by business applications. I find it less suitable for managing intranets with many employees and profiles.

My company manages nearly 70 websites, extranets, intranets and landing pages for its daughter companies, its products, its communication campaigns and some of its direct customers. We needed a tool that would allow us to pool our sites and create our own modules. It had to allow all these sites to be updated by users with different levels of expertise. The tool had to be built according to standards that would facilitate future upgrades.
  • Customizable modules
  • Template sharing
  • Tool stability
  • Its document manager
  • Easier to use
  • User community
  • More out of the box modules
My company needed a tool that would allow us to share our sites, so that we didn't have to develop them one by one, and DX fulfilled this function very well. However, when we upgraded to a major version of the tool, things got complicated. We had to rewrite our own modules, even though they were developed according to the standards recommended by the system.

We have multiple websites set up in Jahia Digital Experience Platform which is easy to maintain and set up. There are lot of pdfs uploaded to the site and searchable across the site. It's complicated to create a dynamic page with other third party database since Java is used to develop the module. You need to have high Java skill and tomcat background. It's easy to maintain the pdf on the site.
  • easy to create multiple project/portals on one end
  • easy to update/add new pages with user friendly interface
  • high secure with 24 hours support
  • It will be great to have more documentation and sample for the use of Jahia
  • More modules could be available on the store
  • Marketing feature like mass email could be added
Easy to share components and contents across different websites/projects. For the content, the paste as reference or absolute area is very useful that let content can be updates once and applied to everywhere implemented. you can also create your own content type which is flexible.

At NSI, we use Jahia Digital Experience Platform for our various intranet portals. We use it to share information such as news or events. We also share articles and documents to improve communication with our employees. We also like to offer forms to allow our users to collaborate. We make Jahia the entry point to information for the company.
  • The platform is ergonomic and very easy to use
  • The platform is robust and stable
  • The solution is open source
  • Getting started is quick for users and developers
  • Create a module and template sharing community
  • Continue to improve forms
  • Keep pricing competitive
Jahia Digital Experience Platform is well suited for your intranet and internet sites. It allows you to personalize the user experience thanks to the Unomi CDP so as to obtain better conversion rates. On the other hand, the platform is less suitable for small showcase sites because hosting a solution based on java has a different cost from other solutions based on php for example.

We are in the process of implementing Jahia Digital Experience Platform as our client portal. This effort is to unify our client experience as we consolidate our existing portals, as well as speed up the client onboarding process by having one place to access all of our services.
  • Publication workflow
  • Content editing
  • End user personalization
  • I was disappointed that the Jahia dev tools are not production-ready resources.
  • The new layout is miles ahead of version 7 but there is still confusion around editing on the page or through the content editor
Jahia Digital Experience Platform is great for getting content out. It feels buggy with all the cache issues that I have experienced.

Jahia Digital Experience Platform is being used for some of our public websites and our intranet. We use it for communication of our organization, and we use it to communicate about all our news for the public and the employees to share the next event and everything like that.
  • Multi-site
  • Headless CMS
  • Open Source
  • Documentation
It's perfect for multi-sites because you can create many sites with a similar template very quickly.

I'm in charge of products implying Jahia for several clients. I'm quite active in pre-sales and project management and I like to keep a technical focus and be able to act as an expert or a developer on that CMS. I also keep a focus on my previous GIS experience and web mapping integration.
  • User Experience : Jahia is especially simple to use for all user roles including visitors, content editors, reviewers, editors in chief, administrators and developers
  • Integration : Jahia is a developer friendly CMS developped in Java and based on cool features such as OSGI enabling hot deployement and reducing risks of unwanted interactions between modules and sites
  • Well integrated Form Factory
  • Enterprise Feautres such as marketting automation tools
  • Review workflows are not as intuitive as you'd imagine. This is an area in the UX where the editor has work to do. It works well but it could be more intuitive
  • Pricing should be more progressive and more aggressive
  • Jahia deserves more publicity. The product is excellent but nobody knows it. The editor should focus on marketing.
Jahia is well suited if at leats one of the situations occure :

- Important UX requirements
- Integration projects
- Multi-sites, multi-language
- Different sites development by different teams that should fit in one shared instance
- High availability, clustering
- High load, high performance
- Need for a headless CMS
- A/B testing and market automation
- Stable architecture with limited risks of incompatibilities between modules
- Excellent support from the editor in enterprise distribution

There is a free community distribution that can be used as entry level, but as soon as a project becomes critical I'd strongly recommend the enterprise distribution. While subscription costs of the enterprise distribution are relatively low compared to ones of other enterprise CMS, they could be more progressive and can be problematic for intermediate projects. This is mainly a problem for the first site at a client, as the subscription costs don't directly depend on the number of deployed sites.

There are many ways to use Jahia. I implemented the platform for:
. Web site
. Intranet
. Extranet
. Marketing automation
. Forum
  • Langage support
  • Site factory
  • Customer Data Platform
  • Headless CMS
  • Marketing automation
  • User training
As a CMS, Jahia is well suited for web production. I can be used as a hybrid platform between traditional and headless CMS. You can also use the jExperience version to add A/B testing and personalisation through a robust Customer Data Platform. The platform can also be integrated with Salesforce. For those who won't invest in infrastructure, you can use the Cloud version.

Jahia is used as a website factory for several departments. There several internet projects for each department (or cross department projects), and one intranet for some departments and a transversal corporate intranet that aggregates them.
  • Balance between ease of contribution and a powerful integration platform.
  • Possibility to manage templates via the Studio (web based, drag&drop interface).
  • Agility and industrialization of deployments (from 7.0 version); ex: modularity and hot deployment with OSGi modules.
  • New marketing factory (and future eCommerce platform) to provide a full range product for Digital needs.
  • A too small community, not so many interactions thought the community (GitHub for example) with editor.
  • Changes in pricing; necessity for progressivity.
  • Delay in the availability of the website Jahia Academy (e-learning website for Jahia expertise).
Jahia is well suited for:

  • Projects driven by the marketing department
  • Projects with agility and industrialization needs
  • Projects with strong integration/infrastructure requirements (banking/insurance, public sector, big corporate)

Jahia is being used across the whole organization. We use Jahia to build various types of landing pages—from a shopping cart, marketing's campaign pages to regular travel information type content. Jahia software helps us display and manage our content the way we want. Personally I'm able to build virtually any type of page I desire based on layout preferences.
  • It's flexible and accommodating from a page layout perspective
  • It works with other content production platforms like Bootstrap
  • It simultaneously supports multiple users
  • User interface not exactly informative at first glance
  • Lack of basic features such as multiple photo upload selection
  • It always reloads any page's updates to the top
  • Removes some pieces of html after "edit" refresh, like Bootstrap's icons
  • Edit's mode window size doesn't reflect actual size of a content column's width
In my opinion, Jahia does good job supporting any static and landing pages, where content lives and is not updated on regular basis. However, blog type content or a multimedia would be harder to manage. I couldn't find Jahia's offered widgets to be working the way I would like them to. It seems like that side of the software is not very much supported.
